I'm so excited to publish my first book! It's been a year long journey and definitiely something fun to do during the chaos of quarantine and COVID-19 limitations! My illustrator John Nelson has been an awesome partner in this creative adventure! He brings the magic to the page! I have always wanted to write a book and my first one combines my love of the beach, mermaids, and Christmas! I hope you enjoy!
My first book includes three mermaids that were named after wonderful young people that I know! Myah, Marissa, and Molly. In honor of Myah, I'm donating a portion of the profits from The Mermaids 12 Days of Christmas book to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia to help with awareness and support their summer camps!
I love to get questions about The Mermaids, Tommy the tiny frog, or the process of self-publishing and would be happy to answer anything you ask!
I'm hoping to visit local schools and share my book and my self-published author story either in person or via zoom. Please let me know if you can recommend an interested teacher, media specialist or school!
I'd love to hear your ideas about what adventures The Mermaids or Tommy the tiny frog should seek next! I have a draft idea for them to visit my favorite island of St.Kitts and meet the famous Green Monkeys! Please follow on insta @laughingtracey or email me your ideas!
